International Journal of English and Comparative Literary Studies is an open-access journal, providing immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of all published articles without charging readers or their institutions for access according to the Creative Commons license: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in the International Journal of English and Comparative Literary Studies, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and increased citation of an author’s work. For more information on this approach, see the Public Knowledge Project, which has designed this system to improve the scholarly and public quality of research, and which freely distributes the journal system as well as other software to support the open access publishing of scholarly resources.
